An acrylic packaging or gift box is a clear PMMA box that protects a product and presents it at the same time, so it can be kept and reused after the product is opened. Brands use it for cosmetics and skincare sets, fragrance, jewellery and watches, collectibles and corporate gifts, where a paper box looks too disposable. AcrylicFabWorks, the acrylic division of SinoPlastix, makes acrylic packaging and gift boxes to a brand’s design in Suzhou, China, with lift-off, sliding, hinged or magnetic lids and printed logos. What brands specify
The five things that decide the price and the look
- Closure. Lift-off is the simplest; hinged and magnetic lids add parts and assembly steps. Choose by how often the box will be opened and how premium it must feel.
- Joints and edges. Solvent-bonded joints are near-invisible; diamond-polished edges look like glass. Agree the finish standard on the sample and it repeats on every run. See solvent vs UV bonding.
- Colour and branding. Clear, frosted or coloured sheet; logos by screen print, UV print or applied graphics. Send vector artwork and the sheet colour together.
- Fit to the product. Send the product or exact dimensions. Inside sizes are agreed at drawing review so the product neither rattles nor jams.
- Outer packing. Protective film left on, individual cartons or bags, and carton and pallet pattern to your warehouse requirements, written into the quotation. See our pre-shipment inspection checklist.

The limits, stated up front
- Acrylic boxes, with hinges and magnets. The box is acrylic (PMMA); hinges and magnetic closures can be fitted. We do not make boxes with wood or fabric parts, and we do not make PS, PET or PVC packaging.
- Not certified for direct food contact. Food and confectionery go in their own sealed inner packaging inside the acrylic box.
- Acrylic scratches more easily than glass. Film stays on until your customer opens the box; care instructions can go in the pack. See removing scratches from acrylic.
- We make to your design. We are a factory in Suzhou, China, not a catalogue seller, and do not sell single boxes.

Can acrylic boxes be used for food gifts?
As reusable outer boxes, yes. We do not certify the boxes for direct food contact, so chocolate, tea or sweets should be in their own sealed inner packaging.
