Why acrylic for shower and bathroom wall panels

Acrylic (PMMA) is chosen for shower and bath wall panels because it presents a warm, glass-clear or solid-coloured surface, is roughly half the weight of glass, will not shatter, and can be cut, polished and drilled to a bathroom manufacturer’s drawing in repeat production.
