An acrylic room divider is a PMMA panel used to separate space without blocking light. It weighs about half of glass at the same size, does not shatter into shards, and can be drilled and cut on site tooling — which is why it is specified for demountable and reconfigurable partitions. We supply panels 3–100 mm thick, up to 3000 × 2000 mm as one piece, with polished edges and fixing holes slotted for thermal movement.
What fit-out buyers specify
Getting a partition package right
- Fixed or demountable. Demountable panels need slotted holes and captured edges so they can be lifted out without cracking. Fixed panels can be bonded or clamped.
- Privacy level. Clear, frosted, gradient-printed or tinted. Frosted at seated eye height with clear above is the most common office specification.
- Edge exposure. Any edge a person can touch should be diamond-polished; concealed edges can stay saw-cut and cost less.
- Existing hardware. Send the profile or clamp you already use — we drill to that pattern so panels drop into your system without site rework.

Where acrylic is the wrong choice
The limits, stated up front
Acrylic partitions are not safety glazing and are not a fire-rated separation. Where a code calls for tempered or laminated glass, or a rated wall, specify that instead — we will tell you at quotation rather than after installation.
Partition fixing inputs
Send the opening and panel dimensions, supported edges, clamp or channel profile, hole pattern, thermal movement allowance, exposed-edge finish, panel quantity and installation environment. State whether the panels are fixed or demountable and identify any code, privacy, cleaning or submittal requirement.

FAQ
Questions buyers ask before ordering
Are acrylic partitions safer than glass?
Suitability depends on the selected grade and thickness, panel size, support and the applicable building code. Acrylic does not break in the same way as ordinary glass, but a fabricated PMMA panel is not certified safety glazing. Where the specification requires tempered or laminated safety glass, a fire-rated assembly or another tested system, use the required product.
Can partitions be printed or frosted only in part?
Yes. Gradient frosting, banded privacy strips and printed graphics are routine. Send the elevation with the privacy band heights marked.
Will panels fit my existing partition system?
Send the profile drawing or a photograph with dimensions of the clamp or channel. We drill and size to that pattern so panels go straight in.
How thick should an office partition be?
Most office partitions land between 5 and 12 mm depending on span and fixing method. Tell us the panel size and how it is supported and we will recommend a thickness with the quotation.
